Before we begin we would like to recommend that you download and install the latest version of iTunes.Click here to download iTunes. There are other free podcasts programs such as
iPodder but, in our opinion, iTunes is the
easiest to use and best performing of them all.
What is Podcasting?
'Podcasting' allows you to receive automatic, FREE, downloads of 104.1
KRBE exclusive content (in MP3 format) directly to your PC.
Better yet, you can have the KRBE Podcast automatically loaded on to your iPod or other MP3 player.
Do I have to have an iPod?
No, Podcasts work on almost all MP3 players but by using iTunes and an iPod
you have the easiest possible access to our KRBE Podcasts. If all you want to do is listen from you laptop or desktop you don't even need a portable MP3 player for our Podcasts. Just click on the desired Podcast and listen via iTunes or Windows Media Player. It's that easy.
Why We Recommend iTunes & The iPod
Until now,
searching for KRBE podcasts was like scanning for radio stations in a strange city — except you’d be browsing thousands of podcasts in a teeming metropolis called the Internet. And if you wanted to subscribe to a podcast, well, you needed additional software to keep everything up to date. There had to be an easier way. Enter iTunes, with built-in podcast
support.
How to get your Podcasts into your non iPod MP3 Player Open Explorer and navigate to the file shown below. The folder named "Your Podcasts" will be the name of the Podcast you have subscribed to. Your file structure may be slightly different than the representation below. Once there, copy the MP3 Podcasts to the directory that contains your music files and transfer them to your portable MP3 player as you would transfer any song. That's all there is to it.
