Now that summer is officially here it’s time to rundown the top contenders for #SongOfTheSummer! AP News has offered up a wide variety of categories for this summer’s hits. Starting with “Song of the summer that inexplicably came out in January” the news organization crowns “Boy’s a Liar PT. 2” by PinkPantheress, Ice Spice as the champ. 

Of course, it wouldn’t be summer without a hit from the one and only Miley Cyrus, AP news crowns her song “Flowers” as the “Hot (divorced) girl (song of the) summer”. At the peak of her Era’s tour Taylor Swift’s “Karma” wins“Song for the Swifties’ summer”.
