During the final night of her six-night residency at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Taylor Swift announced her next highly anticipated re-recording: ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’. After performing the 1989 portion of the show, she made the announcement on the big screen, leading fans into a frenzy. “Instead of just, like, telling you about it, I think I’ll just sort of show you,” Swift said to the audience as the announcement was made.

It’s no coincidence that she announced this re-recording on the eighth month of the year and the ninth day of the month. The album is available for pre-order now on her website and is slated for release on October 27th. As Swift closes the U.S. leg of her record-breaking “Era’s Tour”, she’ll start the international leg on August 24th in Mexico City, Mexico.
