This past Wednesday, Bruce Springsteen made a statement on his website that he was postponing his tour for the remainder of the month while he is being treated for symptoms of “peptic ulcer disease.” The mentioned disease will cause ulcers to form in the stomach that can lead to nausea, stomach pain, and heartburn. The affected shows include Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Pittsburgh, Washington, and more.

“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows,” Springsteen says in a statement posted on Instagram. “We’ll be back to pick up these shows and then some.” This was Springsteen’s first tour in six years. The rock legend will turn 74 later this month.
