‘Saturday Night Live’ announces its return to television following the end of the writers’ strike. The 49th season of the iconic sketch comedy series will premiere on October 14th with Pete Davidson scheduled to host and Ice Spice as the musical performer. The following weekend on October 21st, Bad Bunny will take on double duty as he is set to host and perform on SNL. Though the show isn’t new to Benito as he’s performed before, it’ll be his first time taking on the hosting duty.
Davidson on the other hand is no stranger to SNL. He was scheduled to host the show on May 6th earlier this year. However, due to the writers’ strike happening days before the show was set to air, the episode was cut. Many other shows such as “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” are also making their return to television.
