The Recording Academy held the 66th Annual Grammy Awards and it was filled with a ton of surprises.

Taylor took home two Grammys during the telecast and she took that opportunity to make a surprise announcement to her fans. “Okay, this is my 13th Grammy, which is my lucky number. I don’t know if I’ve ever told you that,” Swift says at the top of her speech. “So I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand-new album comes out April 19th. It’s called ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’ I’m going to go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you, I love you! Thank you!” she announced.

Celine Dion makes a surprise appearance

Celine Dion shocked everybody when she came out as the final presenter of the night, presenting the award for “Album of the Year”. Which ultimately ended up going to Taylor Swift for her album “Midnights”. “Thank you all. I love you right back,” said Dion after receiving a standing ovation from the audience. “When I say that I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart.”

Miley Cyrus receives her first Grammy

It was a big night for Miley Cyrus as well. She took home her first-ever Grammy for “Best Pop Solo Performance” for her hit song “Flowers”. She went on to perform the single on the Grammy stage and made a nod to her win while singing the hook to the song “Started to cry then remembered, I JUST WON MY FIRST GRAMMY!” She also went on to win a second Grammy for “Record of the Year” also for her single “Flowers”.
