Jerome “YoJ” Ronquillo

July 10, 1969-October 29, 2026

Our KRBE radio family is mourning the loss of one of the most spectacular, charismatic, and hilarious people that walked our radio station hallways. YoJ started his radio career at KRBE in 1994! His voice has been heard all over Houston whether it was during his on-air shift, broadcasting live from a club or reading a tag line on a client commercial. YoJ was the life of the party. His one-line zingers during meetings would make us inappropriately crack up every single time! He had a passion for radio, food and all things Houston sports- especially University of Houston sports. Go Coogs! Everyone who met him whether it was 30 years ago or last week has a “YoJ Moment” in their memories. Wow, how he could smoke those ribs!

We will miss you forever YoJ. Your laugh echoes in our hearts forever.
