Legendary actor, Louis Gosset Jr., has passed away at the age of 87. He is recognized as the first Black man to win an Oscar for his supporting actor role in the TV miniseries “Roots”. “Never mind the awards, never mind the glitz and glamor, the Rolls-Royces and the big houses in Malibu. It’s about the humanity of the people that he stood for,” his cousin said in a statement. He’s also konwn for his role in the Broadway production of “A Raisin in the Sun”. He is survived by his sons, Satie and Sharron.
